
Tom Keith is the president of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina; a position he has held since March of 1996. He currently serves as Treasurer of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families Board of Trustees.
In this position he oversees the operations of the Foundation and assists the Foundation Board of Trustees in setting policies and goals. Mr. Keith is active in establishing partnerships and coalitions with other organizations and community groups.
Mr. Keith serves on the Healthy Learners and the Southeastern Council of Foundations boards, as chairman of the South Carolina Center for Grassroots and Non-Profit Leadership and is a member of Grantmakers in Health. He is a founding member and former chairman of the South Carolina Grantmakers Network, a group of 40 grantmaking foundations from across the state. In 2007, Mr. Keith was appointed by Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Hoefer Toal to serve on the South Carolina Access to Justice Commission.
Mr. Keith has over 30 years experience in non-profit management in five states. He earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in communications from Marshall University and a master's in business administration from Winthrop University.
The Center and local affiliated programs have more than 10 years of fatherhood programmatic operation experience making the programs the most seasoned veteran programs in the state.
The Center has extensive experience with managing and monitoring federal and state governmental funding and private grants and donations.
The Center and programs are accountable for program outcomes. Programs and the overall initiative are evaluated by the University of South Carolina's Institute for Families in Society.
Every program is built upon researched best practices, includes holistic services and comprehensive curriculum.
