We are blessed by the generosity, and hospitality, of Colonial Life

We had a great time on the night of March 4 at Colonial Life Arena, where we were the guests of Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company itself.

The highlight of the evening, of course, was when Rich Williams, Colonial Life's Vice President of Growth Markets, presented our own Pat Littlejohn and Bill Bradshaw with a check for $7,500, just before the Gamecocks played Florida in the last home basketball game of the season.

The presentation was the fulfillment of a promise made by Colonial Life at the start of the season. The insurance company, in recognition of its 75th anniversary, pledged to make a $750 charitable donation every time the Gamecocks scored 75 points in a home game. The only time that happened after the announcement was on Jan. 29, when Carolina beat Texas A&M 80-52 -- but Colonial Life generously donated $7,500 anyway.

After the presentation, we enjoyed the hospitality of Colonial Life in its private box, which as you might imagine is one of the choicest in the Colonial Life Arena.

The Gamecocks didn't win against No. 1-ranked Florida, but it was a wonderful evening anyway, thanks to the hospitality and generosity of Colonial Life.
