Fatherhood Programs Exceed Enrollment Goal

September 2016 marked the beginning of year-two grant funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families Grant, with the goal to recruit 500 voluntary participants into fatherhood programs statewide.

The dedicated staff, supported by messaging and materials of the Father 365 campaign, exceeded that goal with 553 voluntary participants enrolled between Sept. 30, 2016 and Sept. 29, 2017.

The grant provides funding for the 12 program locations in South Carolina. The curriculum focuses on parenting; economic stability and mobility; healthy marriage and healthy relationships. Funding also supports ongoing training for fatherhood program staff to improve quality of services delivered to participants.

As the Center celebrates this milestone, work has already begun to support efforts to exceed year-three goal of serving 800 voluntary program participants.

Father 365 marketing campaign materials were used in recruitment efforts as part of the ACF grant.
