Disappearing Dads: Rebuilding the Family

WIS is partnering with "Parenting Solo" to host "Disappearing Dads: Rebuilding the Family," a town hall style meeting on October 20th at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. The event will feature a panel that will field questions submitted from WIS TV's website. Richard Barr, representing the Center will be on the panel. WIS will record the event and air it on WIS at a later date. WIS has also interviewed five fathers from the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition to get a "father's perspective" on solo parenting. These interviews will be used sporadically as part of "Parenting Solo University" a two day event sponsored by "Parenting Solo" that will conclude with the "Disappearing Dads: Rebuilding the Family" panel discussion. To learn more about "Parenting Solo" and "Parenting Solo Univeristy" go to their website (http://www.parentingsolosc.org/).
