TD Bank partnership continues to thrive
In 2012, TD Bank of the Midlands and the Center came together to build a strong partnership and one that continues into 2013.
Before the 2012 University of South Carolina Gamecocks football season, Karen Smith, regional vice president of the Midlands, reached out to the Center with a wonderful partnership opportunity. Each year TD Bank selects a local non-profit as its beneficiary for their existing partnership with the University of South Carolina Gamecocks football team.
The premise of the partnership was that every time the Gamecocks scored a touchdown, TD Bank would make a donation to the Center. On February 20, during halftime of the Gamecocks v. Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball game, Karen Smith presented a check for $7,500 to the Center.

In addition to the donation for touchdowns, TD Bank donated two tickets for every home football game which allowed a fatherhood program participant and his child to create a memory they will never forget. Representatives from TD Bank are also working to improve the financial literacy of fatherhood participants by leading group sessions and assisting participants in opening bank accounts to better manage their finances.
The Center is grateful for the partnership with TD Bank and is thankful for their continued support. The Center looks forward to working with TD Bank for many years to come. Also, we would like to thank the USC football team for all of their touchdowns that helped us raise more money for fatherhood.
