Man to Man's basketball fundraiser has huge success

Man to Man and the Upsilon Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority hosted a charity basketball game the featured the world famous Harlem Rockets and the Bennettsville All-Stars. The Harlem Rockets entertained the community of Bennettsville by displaying their unique skills, zany comedy, and audience participation. The game began at 6 pm on March 7 at the Marlboro County High School Gymnasium. Turnout for the game exceeded expectations and also started to exceed the capacity limit, so much so that people had to be turned away from entering. All proceeds from the game went to help Man to Man.

To add to the entertainment of the Harlem Rockets' games, their opponents come from the local community. The Bennettsville All-Stars featured several members of the community including Solicitor Will Rogers and former Marlboro County High School basketball standouts Casaan Breeden and Tymere Zimmerman. The Bennettsville All-Stars put up a good fight, but the Harlem Rockets were able to edge them out in the end keeping their all-time undefeated streak alive. The spectators were treated to a wonderful basketball game filled with entertainment.
