Father Focus: Eddie Anderson
Eddie Anderson and the mother of his three children were working together to raise their kids. He voluntarily enrolled in the fatherhood program at A Father’s Place to get help with securing employment, becoming a better parent and improving his relationship with his children’s mother. Since his release from prison, he had a difficult time finding a job.
During the first week of Employment
Boot Camp, A Father's Place staff shared with him the educational
opportunities that were available and he pursued a certification in
plumbing at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Once he completed the
certification program, the staff at A Father’s Place helped him secure a
position with a plumbing company.
Through parenting
classes, Eddie learned effective parenting skills and improved his
relationship with his children’s mother and applied the communication
skills he learned through the Healthy Relationships curriculum.
Eddie graduated from the program on December 1, 2017. His next goal is to become a master plumber and own his own business.
