Google Partners with Father to Father
Google, Inc is partnering with Father to Father to hold a Technology Camp for 15 fathers and their children at Camp St. Christopher on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
The theme of the Google Technology Camp is "Beaches and Bots" and is being held Tuesday June 26, 2018. Fathers and their children will work along with Google staff to build Insect-a-Bots and will learn Quick Draw and Google Logo which is an hour of coding. They will also participate in Project Loon which is a demo and balloon construction activity.
Fathers will break out into an individualized session where they will learn to create Professional Resumes in Google Doc and learn other Google Tools that can assist them with launching entrepreneurial endeavors.
The day will end with an Insect-a-Bot Challenge on the beach of Kiawah where children and their fathers will race their creations to victory.
Father to Father is part of a statewide network of local fatherhood programs helping fathers, children and families grow strong. The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families coordinates this initiative. Working together, we serve thousands of fathers each year in our mission to break the devastating cycle of father-absence. Our program, which includes individual coaching, job readiness training, group program sessions, parenting, economic stability and peer support, allows us to deliver vital services that are changing the lives of fathers, their children and families.
We are excited about our partnership with Google, Inc. and so appreciative of their willingness to support Father to Father and our efforts to build Strong Fathers and Strong Families.
