Learning how to eat healthier at Bi-Lo

Earlier this week, our Richland and Lexington program participants spent their group session times touring Bi-Lo supermarkets and learning about healthier food options.

Representatives of Columbia's Cooking! accompanied the groups, pointing out and discussing healthier food options. They armed participants with nutritional tips, budget-friendly recipes and guides to where to find healthier foods.

Participants were joined by family members, and were rewarded with healthy snack bags and Bi-Lo gift cards after the tour.

The tours were made possible by the Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation, USC's CPCP (Columbia's Cooking!), and the Junior League of Columbia.
