The focus of Christmas goes well beyond lights and gifts and ornaments, though all these (and more) give many a sense of wonder, awe, and belonging. No, Christmas is about exactly what the word means: "Christ - mas" -- a celebration or worship of Christ, the newborn baby who ultimately came to save the world. And the life He came to give on behalf of others is the highest expression of love and hope. May we all find true hope and love within the wonder and awe of the Christmas celebration as we gather with family and friends.
