DJJ Youth Get A Reality Check

DJJ Partnership Training Larger

On January 7th and 8th, our first two cohorts of trainees completed training sessions to become presenters of our REALITY CHECK curriculum, a crash course in the responsibilities of early fatherhood. Through a partnership with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), the curriculum will support youth, ages 13-19, who are transitioning from DJJ services back to their targeted communities. The partnership will also achieve a common goal of increasing services and support for this specific population with a special emphasis on the needs of young fathers and the education of yet-to-be fathers.

This project was made possible by a grant from Health and Human Services Office of Population Affairs.
