Center Distributes School Backpacks for Fathers

One of the biggest phrases that has been associated with the COVID-19 pandemic is “adapting to change.” Our lives are adjusting to a new normal that is impacting how we communicate, how we work and how we learn, especially for school-age children. Adapting to virtual learning has been a struggle for many children and parents.

To give our program participants a little help in getting their children excited about the start of a different kind of school year, the Center stuffed 375 school backpacks with items for elementary and middle school children. The backpacks will be distributed to program participants through each of our six fatherhood organizations. Back-to-school items included rulers, folders, pencils and pencil boxes, erasers, notebooks, thumb drives and assorted books.
